The Arena

•The "Triad Arena" is made up of the "Court", the "Safety Netting" and all 6 Boards

• The “Court” is a equilateral triangle with 12m sides (see diagram above).

•There are 6 back boards arranged around the “Court”.

•The "Safety Netting" surrounds the “Court”, sitting 2 metres out from the sidelines and rising to a height of 4 metres.

•The "Main" Board ‘A’ contains the “Basket” and is located in one corner of the triangle.

•Boards ‘B1’ and ‘B2’ are located on the sides of the triangle originating from the "Main" board.

•Board ‘C’ is located on the middle of the baseline, directly opposite the "Basket".

•Boards ‘D1’ and ‘D2’ are located in the base corners.

•The ball is considered “Out of Bounds” when the ball or a part of the players body holding the ball leaves the "Court" boundaries, or into the “No Go Zone” (‘X’ in above image).

•The “No Go Zone” is a 1m long area directly in front of the "Main" board.

•The “Restricted Zone” is a 1.5m long area next to the “No Go Zone”. In the 3 and 2 player variant only 2 players from the attacking team and 1 from the defensive team may enter the “Restricted Zone” the other players from each team must stay behind the line or a “Foul” will be called.

•The ‘T’ Triangle is in the center of the "Court", used for “Starting” and “Restarting” the game, and as a “Safe Zone”.

•The "Penalty Mark" is where all Penalty shots are taken from.

XO 1 bounces the ball whenever need arises, monitors the base line and monitors the bottom left third of the "Court" for breaches of the rules.

XO 2 starts the timer, monitors the base line and monitors the bottom right third of the "Court" for breaches of the rules. They also keep a track of how many points are loaded and informs’ the scoreboard attendant.

XO 3 is the referee who monitors all scoring shots, the “No Go Zone” and indicates how many points are scored. Ref 3 also monitors the side line closest to them and the top third of the "Court" for breaches of the rules.

XO 4 monitors the side line closest to them, fouls that occur in the “No Go Zone” and the top third of the "Court" for breaches of the rules.
