“Loading” the ball involves calculated rebounding off or touching at least one, two, or all three of the baseline Boards ‘D1’, ‘C’ or ‘D2’.
One rebound off Board ‘C’ loads the ball with 1 point.
A rebound off EITHER Board ‘D1’ or ‘D2’ supersedes Board ‘C’, loading the ball with 2 points.
A rebound off BOTH Board ‘D1’ and ‘D2’ loads the ball with 3 points.
If possession is lost, shooting to score is only possible once the ball is "Grounded" and “Loaded”. This means that if the ball is stolen or lost to a member of the opposing team (knock downs don’t count), that team must then do a “Grounded Restart” by ensuring the ball is “Grounded” (touched down) within the “Safe Zones” before they can “Load” the ball and score.
